About

Greetings! I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Data and Information Sciences at UNC Chapel Hill. I conduct research and teach on born-digital stewardship and heritage.

In my research, I use cross-disciplinary approaches from information science, archival studies, and phenomenology (among others) to study the interpretive and epistemological contexts in which different communities (humanities scholars, digital preservationists, K-12 educators, software curators) engage with digital primary sources, including legacy software, land transaction documents, archival photographs. Through this research, I aim to develop both theoretical insights and practical strategies that support the curation and preservation of the cultural record.
